The history of the REX international exhibition and commercial real estate forum goes back to 2004 when Mall Events held its first retail real estate exhibition called "MALL". It has now become a universal interaction site for international market players.

In 2011 the exhibition opened in a new format (REX — Real Estate Exhibition) to include some more opportunities for all commercial real estate market players. This format expansion is explained by the end of the economic recession in the market, its qualitatively new stage of development, as well as by the decrease in the number of specialized events dedicated to commercial real estate. The transition from retail to commercial real estate is mainly due to the high potential of the Russian market.

During the eight years of its existence, the exhibition has hosted participants from over 500 companies from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Netherlands, Great Britain, Sweden, Italy, Germany, USA, Canada, Australia and other countries and has been attended by more than 47 thousand visitors.

The exhibition format comprises display of exhibits and a special business program including conferences, workshops and presentations on real estate items. Representatives of administrative authorities from Moscow and other major regional centers take part in the business program. The speakers are the leading players in the Russian and foreign commercial real estate markets.
