Alexander BorisovOn behalf of the Committee for consumer market development for the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Russian Federation and of Moscow International Business Association members I welcome all participants of the 3d International exhibition “MALL-2006”.
This exhibition is held not for the first time and it has rightly become one of the major events in the real estate market. Stormy growth of retail chains has reached such a point, when we are catching up with European countries in number of trading areas per person.
That is why it’s high time to think about qualitative development. The “MALL-2006” - exhibition sets this very purpose, also specified by its organizer – the Russian Council of Shopping Centers.
We wish all participants fruitful work, long standing business contacts and realization of interesting projects.

I’m pleased to point out that forum is growing more and more representative: both Moscow and regional developers’ companies have displayed significant activities, the range of foreign exponents has expanded, the organizers have offered a vast business program to sectoral experts.
The exhibition will reflect up-to-date situation of retail estate market in Russia. It will enable all players, especially owners of trade centres and developers to clarify the place their companies occupy on the market, directions and means of their further development, and to have better orientation as regards correctness of business actions. The exhibition is an instrument for brand creation and promotion, and this is very important.
Communication will enable the developers to avoid making extra errors, as a result of mere lack of information, will help them choose correctly their niche and make exchange of knowledge and experience with their colleagues. Communication with major market operators, capable of acting as co-investors and with representatives of small networks, the involvement of which could add originality to retail centres, will be also useful.

Mark AfraimovichIt’s difficult to overvalue the importance of such an event as “MALL” exhibition for commercial real estate market. In my view, the Russian Council of Shopping Centers has initiated an event, which is not inferior to MAPIC International Exhibition, being held for already 11 years in Cannes, France. If the latter is considered the crucial event for European commercial real estate market, “MALL” exhibition is such for Russia’s and the CIS countries’ market. “MALL” presents new projects to participants and visitors, opens new regional objects to retailers for networks development, gives an opportunity to developers to get familiarized with network brands and to choose a management company. Our experience proves that each contact, emerging during such an event develops into mutually beneficial and long-lasting cooperation.
Besides, “MALL” exhibition is an excellent opportunity for exchange of experience and is a source of new ideas. I hope that conferences, held within the framework of exhibition, will provide a significant information support. I’d like to wish effective work to all participants of “MALL-2006”.
