April 17, 2004 in Moscow finished work the first in Russia specialized exhibition of retail real estate and chain operators “Russian retail industry “MALL-2004”.
For the first time was formed the working model of the b2b exhibition representing the companies – leaders in the field of development and management of real estate properties, retailers and suppliers.
The leading market players became the exhibition exponents – total 69 companies from 13 regions of Russia, as well as from the Ukraine, Germany and the USA. The exhibition was the ideal networking environment for retailers (foodstuffs, electronics, clothing and footwear), the owners of the largest shopping centers, refurbished markets and international realtors. The share of the service companies’ representatives averaged 42%. In total, approximately 1600 people visited the exhibition.
Over 700 experts from more than 25 regions of the Russian Federation (from Kaliningrad up to South-Sachalinsk) became the delegates of the three international conferences the Russian Council of Shopping Centers played host to at the exhibition “MALL-2004”: “4th International conference “The concept of the Russian shopping center”, “2nd International conference “Organization of the territorially-distributed chain” and International conference ”Effective promotional and PR-campaigns on the local markets”.
The international exhibition “Russian retail industry “MALL” it’s a serious claim with long-term prospect, the exhibition “for growth”, the main goal of which is since 2005 to deliver objectively the current market pattern, the latest thinking and to become the main stage for business and informational industry contacts.
During the negotiations with the interested companies was set up a base for the further development of the exhibition “MALL”, expanding of its exponents’ geography (mainly westwards) and business program optimization.
The exhibition “MALL-2004” was actively supported by the Ministry of economic development of Russia, administrations of Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Kazan and other cities, professional associations and exhibition companies – the National trade association, “Messe Düsseldorf”, “Expo-Park” and “Pir”.
